Why isn't Every Taxpaying American, regardless of Political Affiliation, Offended by this Theft?

I am personally extremely offended. Mostly because I do not believe it will do any good, it gives to much money to political pet projects, welfare(without addressing welfare reform) and wasteful government spending. If you look at history, you will find that throwing this much money at a problem, (which could ultimately fix itself,in time) will only make the problem worse.
