Does it matter if my fan is not plugged on the MB?

i just bought 2 Rosewill fans and plugged them in the case's fan controller. when i start my PC PROBE (Asus program to know temps and stuff) it gives me some kind of warning that my chis fan is not plugged in my MB. so my question is, is it a BIG deal
