Sue the town for improper snowplowing?

My wife was in an accident, A person stopped there car at the bottom of the hill because it was icy, then when my wife can around the corner she slid and hit the car. 10 min later another car came and slid into a tree. The road was closed after that so they could clean it up. I new that because it was on the news. Any sugestions
