Can anyone help me brainstorm a good thesis for The Great Gatsby?

Well, I have to write a paper on the Great Gatsby, with quite a bit of volume, around...3 pages :/ I'm trying to think of a legitimate thesis. I was thinking about connecting to Fitzgerald's life and his life's influence on the novel but his life seems a bit short and not too juicy. I need to stay away from lame -*** thesis(es?) like ones pertainging to symbolism or "how it relates to the 1920's." I thought about also making a connection with literature periods, like modernism etc., but again am worried about content volume. Any help?
